This one's just for fun — no homework, nothing to finish, nobody
marking it. When you're bored on the bus (or in a queue, or waiting for
the kettle), you can ask Claude to whip you up a little game or toy and
play it then and there, all from your phone.
It's also sneaky practice: every time you ask for something and then
tweak it, you're flexing the exact prompting muscles you've been
building with the tutor — just with zero stakes and a bit of a laugh.
How it works
This uses the Claude app on your phone (or
claude.ai in your phone's browser) — the
chat app, not the tutor in the terminal. No commands here; you
just type like you're texting.
On your phone, open the Claude app (or
claude.ai in your browser) and sign
in — same account you use for the tutor.
Ask it for what you fancy (a few ideas below).
It'll think for a moment, then give you a file to
download. Tap to download it.
Open the downloaded file — it opens in your
browser and you can play right away. (Works on Android and
iPhone.)
Have a play. It stays in your downloads, so you can come back to
it whenever.
Top tip
If you're on your mobile, tell Claude in your prompt so it makes a
game that will work well on a phone.
A few things to try
Copy any of these into the app and change the bits in
[brackets] to make it yours. Half the fun is making it weirder.
A quick game"Make me a quick browser game I can play on my phone for fun.
Give me a button to share my score at the end."
A quiz about something you love"Make me a fun 10-question quiz about [football / baking / your
favourite TV show] that gives me a score and a cheeky comment at the
end."
A silly button"Make me a button that gives me a ridiculous excuse for being late
every time I tap it."
A reaction test"Make me a reaction-time game where I tap the screen the moment
it changes colour, and it tells me if I'm faster than a cat."
Keep playing with it
Whatever it makes, you can just ask for changes in
the same chat — it'll give you a fresh file each time. Try things like:
"Make it harder."
"Use my favourite colours — purple and gold."
"Add a sound when I score."
"Make it funnier."
There's no wrong way to do this. Ask for something daft, see what you
get, and keep nudging it until it makes you smile.
Made something good?
Share it with the WhatsApp group — we love seeing what people come up
with. (Even the gloriously silly ones. Especially those.)
